Summer Learning Journey Week 1 Day 2 Activity 3
How I solved the problem
So I did know that we had to feed the Cactus 3 ML a day and I know that their a 365 days in a year so I times 3 by 300 = 900 then I timed 3 by 60 = 180 and lastly I timed 3 by 5 = 15. After that I added it all together and it equalled 1095 ML unless if it's leap year and it will equal 1098.

Hi Opeti,
ReplyDeleteLike to see your keeping up with your blogging. I really like the way you showed your thinking steps. How many day's are in a leap year? How did you get the answer for the leap year? Besides that you are doing really well.
Best Wishes
From your Best friend
Christopher
Hi Opeti,
ReplyDeleteI like the way you explained how you solved the problem. Your thinking steps were clear and easy to understand.
A tricky word to change is "their" which should be "there".
It is part of a group of confusing words called homophones which sound the same but mean different things and are used differently.
Look at these slides about homophones:

Do the activity sheets I shared with you in Google Classroom about homophones.
I will check them.
Keep up the great blogging!
Mrs M
Hello again,
ReplyDeleteWell done on correctly answering the cactus maths problem. You've chosen a great strategy to help you solve the equation and explained your working really well. It's very clear and easy to understand - well done! :) Do you enjoy maths? What are your favourite subjects at school?
I have lots of cacti at my house. I do hope I'm giving them enough water. :/
Bye for now,
Mikey :)
